South Africa Tour 2023

Day 1: Thursday 12th October

Welcome to Cape Town! We will pick you up from the airport and transport you to your accommodation. Qantas code share flights arrive around 8:30pm local time

Depending on the time, a quick welcome drink together at the hotel will be a great opportunity to get to know one another.

Rest up and get used to the new time zone as we have a lot of activities planned ahead!

Day 2: Friday 11th October

Enjoy a day to yourself or get transported to the Ferry to Robben Island. The short Ferry ride will take you to where Nelson Mandela was held with a tours offering an incite into the historic location.

There's plenty to do in Cape Town! If you're looking for somewhere to start, here are some of our suggestions:

Day 3: 11th November

Today, we have our first round of golf at Kooyonga. This magnificent course is almost 100 years old, and has been home to five Australian Opens!

8.00 am: Transport departs from Symonds Place

8.10 am: Transport departs from The Hilton

8.30 am: Breakfast at Mister Sunshine's, Thebarton 

11.00 am: First group tee off at Kooyonga

Day 4: 12th November

Today we will be playing our second round of golf at Grange West, which will be home to the 2019 Women's Australian Open. This course features wide fairways and complex greens, making it a fun challenge for all. 

8.00 am: Breakfast at Bar 9, Adelaide (LG 15/ 100 Rundle Mall, Adelaide) (you are welcome to walk over, alternatively we can pick you up: 7.35 am departure from Symonds Place and 7.45 am departure from The Hilton)

10.50 am: Transport departs from Symonds Place

11.00 am: Transport departs from The Hilton

1.00 pm: First group tee off at Grange West

Day 5: 13th November

Today is your second 'lay day'. If you'd like to spend the day in the City doing as you please, feel free! Alternatively, we will be providing optional transport to the Adelaide Hills.

Optional: Day trip to Hahndorf and Adelaide Hills, departing 10.00 am, returning late afternoon.

The town of Hahndorf is a traditional European Village, rich in history, food and style. Come with us to explore the town at your leisure. On the way, we'll stop off at Beerenberg Farm to taste some local produce. Once we arrive in Hahndorf, have a look down the main street - you might like to check out Adelaide Hills Wine Centre to get a taste of some wines from the area, have a look at local galleries such as the Aboriginal Art House, try some gin at Ambleside Distillery, or have a wander down the main street of this quaint town and explore for yourself!

Alternatively, you might wish to spend the day checking out Adelaide city! Lost on where to start? Here's some of our recommendations:

 

Day 6: 14th November

Today, we'll be heading to Glenelg Golf Course, one of Australia's top 30. We're also going to hang around after your round for dinner at the bistro, with views across the Adelaide Hills.

8.00 am: Transport departs from Symonds Place

8.10 am: Transport departs from The Hilton

8.30 am: Breakfast at Peter Rabbit, Adelaide 

We'll then return you to the city, where you can pass some time until your game!

11.30 am: Transport departs from Symonds Place

1.30 pm: First group tee off at Glenelg

Evening: Dinner at Pinehill Bistro

Day 7: 15th November

We'll be playing our final round for the trip at the prestigious Royal Adelaide Golf Club, host of nine Australian Opens. After your round, we'll be heading off to the beautiful Barossa Valley for a couple of days getaway!

7.15 am: Transport departs from Symonds Place. Please bring all of your belongings as we won't be returning to your accommodation after golf.

7.25 am: Transport departs from The Hilton. Please bring all of your belongings as we won't be returning to your accommodation after golf.

7.45 am: Breakfast at the Loose Caboose, Hindmarsh

10.30 am: Golf at Royal Adelaide

Transport to Barossa Valley, check in to accommodation

Enjoy some time to yourself before we head off to dinner. The resort has a gym, swimming pool, tasting room, a spa and much more if you feel like keeping yourself busy!

6.40 pm: Transport departs to dinner

7.00 pm: Dinner at Barossa Cucina, where we will have a six-course chef's selection shared banquet.

 

Day 8: 16th November

We have a jam-packed day today, tasting wines at some of the Barossa's finest vineyards. 

8.15 am: Transport departs from our accommodation for breakfast

8.30 am: Breakfast at The Table Cafe, Lyndoch

10.00 am: 1847 Wines Chateau Yaldara

11.00 am: Kalleske Wines

11.40 am: Rolf Binder

12.30 pm: Lunch at The Farm Eatery

2.15 pm: Gibson Wines

Return to accommodation

There is a restaurant, Cellar Kitchen, at the resort should you wish to stay in for dinner. Tamara and Ari will be heading over to Barossa Valley Brewing, a brewpub, for dinner. We'll be departing at around 6.30 pm - if you'd like to join us, please do!!

Day 9: 17th November

Today, we're open to your suggestions - is there a winery that you want to check out? Let us know! We'll make our way back to Glenelg, where we'll be spending our last night. Enjoy a closing-night dinner at Estia.

8.15 am: Departing our accommodation for breakfast, please bring your belongings with you, as we won't be returning to the hotel after breakfast

8.30 am: Breakfast at Red Door Espresso, Tanunda

6.30 pm: Departing accommodation for dinner

7.00 pm: Dinner at Estia, Henley Beach

Day 10: 18th November

Thank you so much for joining us on this trip! We'll be returning you to the airport for your flights - please let us know when you need to be at the airport!
