South Africa Tour 2023
Day 1: Thursday 12th October
​
Welcome to Cape Town! We will pick you up from the airport and transport you to your accommodation. Qantas code share flights arrive around 8:30pm local time
​
Depending on the time, a quick welcome drink together at the hotel will be a great opportunity to get to know one another.
​
Rest up and get used to the new time zone as we have a lot of activities planned ahead!

Day 2: Friday 13th October
​
​
Today you'll have an early start to the day setting off on a one hour drive to the magnificent Arabella Golf and Country Club which held the Gary Player Invitational until 2008. Tee off is at 8am with a short clinic beforehand.
​
On completion of your round, we will head back to our accommodation to freshen up for our Welcome Dinner at 4pm at an award winning and unique African restaurant 'Gold' with some live performances.

Day 3: Saturday 14th November
​
Enjoy a day to yourself or join Ari to catch the Ferry to Robben Island. The short Ferry ride will take you to where Nelson Mandela was held with tours offering an insight into the historic location.
There's plenty of other things to do in Cape Town too! If you're looking for somewhere to start, here are some of our suggestions:

Cape of Good Hope This stunning headland offers penguin viewings at certain times with tours on offer

Big 5 Safari If you can't wait for the Sun City Safari's planned, day trips from Cape Town can take you to the closest game reserves

Day 4: Sunday 15th November
​
Today we will have our second and final free day off of the golf course to explore beautiful Cape Town. Join Ari in catching the Cable Car up Table Mountain to enjoy the views overlooking the city and southern cape of South Africa.
​
Other options of exploring the unique area is by sea. Sunset Champagne Tours are available from the Marina or even a "Ocean Safari" to find the big 5 of the sea!
Another options is to head to the Stellenbosch region for the day and purchase a ticket for the 'Hop on Hop off' Tram that takes you to the best wineries in the area. The Stellenbosch region is the most well known in South Africa with 3 centuries of wine growing heritage.
Or you can go explore Boulders Beach just outside of Cape Town where Penguin colonies can be spotted.

Day 5: Monday 16th November
Today, we have our second round of golf at Pearl Valley Golf Club. This magnificent course is a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design and one not to be missed in the Cape Town Region. Our morning tee time will allow us to drop past some of the well known Stellenbosch region wineries on our way back to the accomodation.

Day 6: Tuesday 17th October
An early start to our day will see us leaving Cape Town and heading east along the Garden Route towards George for our next 4 nights. Enjoy the drive along the country side and coast line The 3 hour trip will take us to a round of golf at Kingswood golf club at 12:30. The drive is much like our Great Ocean Road snaking along the eastern coastline

The Garden Route
Day 7: Wednesday 18th October
Today is your free day in the Garden Route Region of George with lots of sight seeing in the beutiful region. There will be an update closer to the date but a few options that the vans will travel to is an elephant park, Cango caves and a possible sunset cruise if weather permits. Stay tuned for more details

Day 8: Thursday 19th October
Today we will be heading to the stunning Oubbaii Golf Course. This Ernie Els signature course has holes running along the ocean on the headland much like you see in Hawaii and San Diego, but with views of the Indian Ocean and Outeniqua mountains.
​
For non golfers, two local wineries may tempt you into some tastings along with some more wineries further north out of George

Day 9: Friday 20th October
Today, we get to play the stunning Pinnacle Point Golf Course just outside George. This links style golf course is set ontop of clifftop with 270 degree views of the Indian Ocean. This course is known to be a challenge however on a good day, its likely you'll take more photos than golf shots.
​
For those that aren't golfing, perhaps Pinnacle Point's Spa could interest you. With one hour massages starting from $50 aud and 3 hour pamper packages from around $100, you'll be able to relax and take in the sights and have a drink overlooking the golfers on course.

Day 10: Saturday 21st October
​
Saturday marks the end of our time in George and the Garden Route. We will have an early breakfast and head off to George Airport to catch our Fly Safair flight FA259 at 10:10am to Johannesburg. Please don't forget to purchase these tickets and any required luggage you may need. The two hour flight will have us landing around midday with a 2 and a half hour transfer to Sun City Resort.

Day 11: Sunday 22nd October
After an early breakfast, we will head off for a full day safari tour in the Pilansberg National Park the neighbours the Sun City Resort. Hopefully you'll be able to spot the Big 5 along the way through the middle of the day. Our expert guides will be sure to guide us safely through the national park onboard the open top 4x4 vans.

Day 12: Monday 23rd October
​​
Today we will be teeing off at the Lost City Golf Course for 18 Holes. Navigate your way around the golf course keeping in mind the wasteland bunker hazards, water hazards, and alligator enclosure hazard on the downhill par 3 13th hole!
Your round will conclude in time to be able to get on the evening safari bus during dusk when the animals come out in the cooler temperatures

Day 13: Tuesday 24th October
Today will be the last of the early mornings as we set off for a morning safari. Catch the animals in their most active times before they seek shade before the midday heat.
You will arrive back in the morning and have a completely free day to make the most of the resort facilities which includes shuttle bus to the different resorts, pools, restaurants, casino and bars. You can find more details here.

Day 14: Wednesday 25th October
You will have a nice relaxing slow morning today before golf in the middle of the day. We are back on the Lost City Course as the Gary Player course is closed for tournament prep​. After your enjoy a drinkat the end of your round, We will have our final group Dinner to conclude the trip.

Day 15: Thursday 26th October
​
All good things come to an end and unfortunately this is our last day in Africa. Most will be flying out on the Qantas flight in the evening so transport will be organised to get you there with plenty of time to relax after breakfast in the morning before getting you to the airport.
