Privacy Policy

Ari Sanjar Golf Coaching respects the privacy of every golfer who uses this website or books a lesson. This policy explains what personal information is collected, why it is collected, how it is stored and the choices available. It is written to follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. Information collected

When a lesson is booked, a form is sent or the Online Academy waitlist is joined, the following may be collected:

• Name, email address and phone number

• Booking details such as the service, date, time and location

• Anything shared in a form or message, such as golf experience, goals or a handicap

• For junior lessons, the name of the junior golfer and the details of the parent or guardian making the booking

When the website is visited, some technical information is collected automatically, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and cookies.

2. How information is used

• To confirm and manage bookings, including email confirmations and SMS reminders

• To reply to enquiries and messages

• To prepare and deliver coaching, including lesson notes and swing analysis

• To send coaching tips, news and offers, only where consent has been given

• To understand how the website is used so it can be improved

• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations

3. Sharing information

Personal information is never sold or rented. It is shared only with trusted service providers that help run the business, such as:

• Wix.com, which hosts the website and runs bookings, forms and SMS reminders

• An email marketing provider (for example Mailchimp), for anyone who has subscribed

• A payment provider, if online payment is used

Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. Reasonable steps are taken to make sure they protect personal information in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles. Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it.

4. Cookies

This website uses cookies so that it works properly, remembers preferences and can measure visits. Cookies can be blocked or deleted in browser settings, although some features, such as online booking, may not work without them.

5. Storage and security

Information is stored on secure servers provided by Wix, which use industry standard protection such as SSL encryption and firewalls. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, but reasonable steps are taken to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Information is kept only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as required by law.

6. Marketing messages

Marketing emails and SMS are only sent with consent. Every message includes a simple way to unsubscribe, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Booking confirmations and reminders are not marketing and will still be sent while a booking is active.

7. Children

Junior lessons are booked by a parent or guardian. Personal information about anyone under 18 is only collected from, and with the consent of, their parent or guardian.

8. Access, correction and deletion

Anyone can ask to see the personal information held about them, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by getting in touch using the details below. Requests are answered within 30 days.

9. Questions and complaints

Privacy questions or complaints can be sent to the email address below and will be answered as soon as possible. If a complaint is not resolved, it can be taken to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
